Jyotiraditya Scindia Flags off SpiceJet flight on Delhi-Tirupati Route

Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Sunday flagged off a SpiceJet flight on the Delhi-Tirupati route. Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has tweeted that today SpiceJet's airline was virtually inaugurated between the country's capital New Delhi and the spiritual city Tirupati. With this, the citizens of both the cities will get the ease of transport and business as well as the visitors.

On this occasion, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia along with Union Minister of State Prahlad Patel, General VK Singh, and other dignitaries from Tirupati and other colleagues of the ministry were also present. At the same time, according to a statement issued by SpiceJet, an airline company providing affordable service, the airline will operate flights on this route thrice a week till 31 October and four times a week on this route from 31 October. The airline already has a service connecting Tirupati with Hyderabad and Pune.

Ajay Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, SpiceJet also said in a statement that as part of our commitment to enhance regional connectivity and put smaller cities on the aviation map of the country. He said that we will also connect Bhavnagar with Mumbai. Bhavnagar is the sixth major city in Gujarat where SpiceJet will start its flight service.

Earlier, while giving information, SpiceJet had said that the airline will start 38 new domestic and international flights from September 15 to 25. SpiceJet said in a statement that it has operated the Delhi-Surat-Delhi, Bengaluru-Varanasi-Bengaluru, Mumbai-Jaipur-Mumbai, Mumbai-Jharsuguda-Mumbai, Chennai-Pune-Chennai, Chennai-Jaipur-Chennai, and Chennai-Varanasi-Chennai routes. But the operation of flights has started. The airline said it will resume flights to and from Dubai, connecting it with Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Kozhikode, and Amritsar.
