Delhi Minority Commission has taken cognizance of the complaint of a woman professor of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). The woman professor alleges that she is being harassed and tortured by the intent of being a Muslim.

The Delhi Minority Commission has issued notice and interim order to the JNU registrar on the complaint of the professor. The woman professor has alleged that JNU administration is harassing her. Professor has accused the director of the Center for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive also harassment. The teacher alleges that this is happening with JNU VC's founding.

Professor has alleged that his salary has been stopped since April 2019 and there is no legal reason for this. They are not being classed. He is also not being made the supervisor of Ph.D. and M.Phil students. Professor charged that he is not called in meetings even if he is not allowed to use official mail and internet.

According to the Delhi Minority Commission, the professor has alleged that there is no profile on JNU website. The female professor is very upset due to all these reasons and the JNU administration is pressurizing him to vacate the situation in the campus.

It is to be mentioned that before joining JNU in 2013, Professor has been studying four years at the Hyderabad Central University as a permanent faculty. He told that before that his salary was stalled in JNU and after getting the order of High Court, he got the salary. Professor has alleged that many students want to choose him as supervisor, but the interested students are being pressured to choose other professors.

The female professor believes that due to being a Muslim, he is being discriminated against. They are alleged to be conspiring to remove him from JNU. According to the Delhi Minorities Commission, he is so much troubled by the harassment that sometimes he takes suo motu to commit suicide.

After the complaint of the woman professor, the Delhi Minority Commission has issued notice to the JNU administration and has sought a reply by August 1.
