JNU Students Boycotted Examinations & Meeting with the Adminstration

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) students boycotted the examinations on Thursday on the issue of increasing hostel fees. On the other hand, the meeting between JNU administration and hostel presidents was also inconclusive. According to the information received, students of the School of Sanskrit and Indic Studies (SSIS) were appearing in the examinations.

SSIS professor Hari Ram Mishra said that all the students appeared for the examinations in the shifts of 10 am to 1 pm. Sources said that SSIS is the only school where the examinations took place. There is no response from the university administration yet.

On the other hand, today there was a meeting between the JNU administration and the hostel presidents. According to hostel presidents, the Vice Chancellor did not respond to their demands. Rather, the administration simply kept trying to explain to them why the increase in fees was right.
