Rationalization of 56 thousand regular teachers and 65 thousand meritorious teachers working in 35 thousand schools of the state will be possible. The Department of School Education and Literacy is preparing its rules and models. This rationalization will be at the Panchayat level, at the block level or at the district level, the final decision has to be taken. The department is aiming to have at least one teacher for every class so that the primary school can be studied up to the fifth standard and up to 8th in middle schools.
