BJP MLA Amit Mandal from Godda assembly seat of Jharkhand was attacked and seriously injured by some people on Wednesday evening near his residence located in the Tilkamanjhi police station area. The attackers suddenly attacked with bricks and stones. During this, apart from his hands, he also suffered injuries in the chest, abdomen and legs.
On the information of the incident, Tilkamanjhi police station chief Raj Ratan reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident. First aid has been given to the injured MLA. Here, on the information of the incident, a large number of supporters of the MLA have gathered at his residence.
The MLA was attacked when he was walking in the corridor of his residential complex. MLA told City ASP Shubham Arya, who reached the spot after getting information about the incident, that some boys attacked him with stones. The MLA has got a serious wound in his hand. The attackers suddenly attacked with bricks and stones. During this, apart from his hands, he also suffered injuries in the chest, abdomen and legs.
On the information of the incident, Tilkamanjhi police station head Raj Ratan reached the spot and started the investigation, informing the top police officers about the attack. Within a few minutes, the entire police department came into action and started an investigation on reaching the spot.
First aid has been given to the injured MLA. Here, on the information of the incident, a large number of supporters of the MLA have gathered at his residence. After observing the footage of the CC camera regarding the attack, the police is raiding in search of the attackers. Also, there is a lot of anger among the local supporters of the MLA regarding the incident.
Regarding the deadly attack, SSP Nitasha Gudiya said that two-three boys have injured the MLA by pelting stones. However, Tilkamanjhi Police is conducting raids under the leadership of City ASP to arrest those who attacked with bricks and stones.
