The Delhi Court has granted a major relief to Shehla Rashid, a former vice-president of Jawaharlal Nehru University and JNU student Shehla Rashid, who is one of the most renowned institutions in the country.
In a hearing held on Friday in connection with the alleged tweet by Shehla Rashid against the Indian Army, a Delhi court has directed the Delhi Police to issue an arrest notice 10 days in the event of arresting Shehla Rashid. The Delhi court has given this ruling on the anticipatory bail plea of the accused Shehla Rashid.
In the last hearing, a Delhi court granted interim protection to JNU student Shehla Rashid from arrest.
Significantly, a sedition case has been registered against Shehla Rashid in the alleged remarks case against the Indian Army. At the same time, in the last hearing, Shehla's lawyer had assured the Delhi Police through the court that she would extend all possible support to the Delhi Police.
