Jasprit Bumrah, Smriti Mandhana Get First Dose of COVID-19 Vaccine

Indian women's team opener Smriti Mandhana, Team India's pacer Jasprit Bumrah, Dinesh Karthik, Deepak Chahar and Siddharth Kaul received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday. Along with this, Bumrah urged fans to get vaccinated and tweeted, "Vaccinated. Please stay safe everyone." Earlier on Monday, Virat Kohli, Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara also received first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

On Monday, Team India's skipper Virat Kohli received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. He shared an Instagram story while taking the vaccine. Along with this, he also appealed to his fans to get the vaccine as soon as possible and wrote "Vaccinate as soon as you can please".

Mandhana became first female player to receive vaccine:

After vaccination, Mandhana became the first player of the Women's cricket team to be vaccinated. She shared the photo on social media and gave information about it. Also, appealed to the people to get vaccinated. The Indian men's team, as well as the women's team, will tour England. The Women's team will play 1 Test, 3 ODIs and 3 T20s from 16 June to 15 July in England. After that, she will also take part in 'The Hundred' Tournament. The tournament will start from 21 July to 21 August.

Ishant and Rahane also received the first dose:

On the other hand, Ishant shared a photo of the vaccination with wife Pratima Singh on social media and wrote – "Thankful for this and grateful for all the essential workers. Happy to see the smooth running of the facility & management. Let's all get vaccinated at the earliest". At the same time, Rahane also took the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine with his wife Radhika two days ago. Rahane is currently in Mumbai after the suspension of IPL 2021.
