Jamia Protest: Minhajuddin who was not involved in the Protest but still Lost his Eye Sight

The evening of 15 December turned out to be a terrifying evening for Minhajuddin, a student of Jamia's LLM Final Year. He also became a victim of alleged police action on CAA protesters and had a dangerous attack on one eye. Everybody saw the video of Minhajuddin in pain in the washroom on social media. The doctor says that his eye sight has gone.  He was a student of AMU earlier, then Minhajuddin who became Jamia's student is in shock, many difficult questions revolve around his future.

Minhajuddin of Samastipur in Bihar says, that day I was studying in MPhil section in Jamia's Central Library. There were also companions. At the same time, it was found that 20-25 policemen entered the library. These policemen, who came with helmets and wearing sticks, started lathiing wildly on the students. I got poles in my hand. After that a stick was thrust on my eye. I felt dizzy, I ran towards the toilet. The blood was flowing continuously. Minhajuddin's eye was operated the next day in AIIMS. His hands finger is also fractured. He says, doctors said that eye light did not came after that. There is also a chance that it affects the other eye as well. He is being treated with the help of friends and relatives.

Minhajuddin, a promising student of his class, is shocked. Her friend and her classmate Mumtaz says, she is very disturbing. Doctors said, due to the attack of sticks, his eye was divided into two parts, the visibility of the left eye is zero. Doctors are trying not to spread the infection to his other eye. He is currently in his relative's house. Parents are shocked, father is reaching. Looking at your friend in this condition, we cannot tell what condition we are in. He was quietly studying in the reading room, he had no connection with any performance.

Friends said, Minhajuddin spent about two hours in the library. There was constant bleeding from the eye. Police were all around. B.Ed student Maqsood arranged for an ambulance for him and took him to the nearby Al-Shifa hospital. But the condition was very bad, then they reached AIIMS. Earlier, Mumtaz from the hospital had called the police on the number 100 because he was not getting treatment. The police came, she says, they were just watching. We immediately took AIIMS after doing a private ambulance. Stripped there, he was asked to come for operation the next day.

Mumtaz says that Minhajuddin wrote himself and submitted his complaint to the New Friends Colony police station, but no action has been taken by the police so far. Did not even give us a copy. Minhajuddin's friends say that he is very quiet, not talking much. It is also a shock to his parents that such a big accident happened with his hardworking son, even though he was not part of that demonstration.
