Director James Gunn announced the full cast of The Suicide Squad on Twitter, with a poster. Gunn uncovered the 24-member cast that incorporates on-screen characters Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag) and Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang) who will repeat their roles. New cast individuals are Taika Waititi, Peter Capaldi, Idris Elba, John Cena, Storm Reid, Pete Davidson, David Dastmalchian and Daniela Melchior. Will Smith won't come back to play Deadshot.

It was before announced that Elba may play Deadshot in the sequel. Nonetheless, a Variety report affirmed that Elba is playing another character with Storm Reid as his girl.
