It is almost Impossible to Beat Team India at their Homeground: Albie Morkel

The three-match ODI series between India and South Africa will begin on Thursday. The first match will be played at Dharamshala from 1.30 pm. Even before the start of the series, the former South African all-rounder Albie Morkel has predicted India's victory. He believes that defeating India in India would be almost impossible for the South African team. While during an interview, he said, 'It was a mixed summer season for the team before the new coaching staff joined the team. After the defeat in the T20 series, the ODI series against Australia was a great one for South Africa. So I do not want to say anything. Even if a team is in top form, it is almost impossible to beat Team India in India. It is going to be a difficult series for them but I hope that the team will give a tough competition. India will win the series 2–1 but South Africa must compete. Especially after defeating Australia, there will be a lot of confidence in the team.'

In the recent home series, South Africa beat Australia 3–0 in the three-match ODI series. At the same time, the Indian team suffered a 3–0 defeat in the ODI series in New Zealand. All-rounder Hardik Pandya has returned to the Indian team for this series while opener Rohit Sharma has been given rest. Shikhar Dhawan and fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar have also been included in the squad for the series against South Africa.

India's team is as follows:

Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Virat Kohli (Captain), KL Rahul, Manish Pandey, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jaspreet Bumrah, Navdeep Saini, Kuldeep Yadav, Shubman Gill.
