The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is launching a three earth observation or surveillance satellite to monitor India's borders from space. One of these satellite Cartoset-3 will be launched on 25 November, while two are to be launched on December 2. Cartoset-3 will be installed in orbit with an inclination of 97.5 degrees 509 kilometers away in space.
Along with these satellites, two dozen foreign nano satellites and micro satellites will be launched through three PSLV rockets. The PSLV C-47 (PSLV C-4) rocket will be launched from Sriharikota on November 25 at 9:30 am, carrying a third generation Earth imaging satellite Cartoset-3 and 13 commercial satellites in the US.
After this, ISRO will launch two more surveillance satellites. Earlier, Indian Space Research Organization (Isro) launched RISAT-2B on 22 May and EMISAT Servilons satellites on 1 April. They were launched to keep an eye on the enemy's radar. Last month, 31 Nano satellites along with Cartosat-2 series were launched by ISRO from Sriharikota Space Station in Andhra Pradesh. Cartosat-2 is an Earth imaging satellite that also has multi-spectral cameras. It can also be called 'Eye in the Sky'. According to media reports, this is going to be the first time when ISRO is launching all the satellites from Sriharikota in a year with military objectives.
