Israel and Bahrain are working to normalize their relations. It will begin with direct air services between the two countries. On Friday, the two countries agreed to normalize their relations through the mediation of US President Donald Trump.
With Trump’s initiative, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel also signed an agreement last month to normalize their relationship.
Peace Deal will result in direct flights between the countries: Benjamin Netanyahu
According to a statement issued by the Israeli government, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a weekly meeting of the cabinet that direct flights would begin to normalize relations between the two countries.
He told the cabinet that the peace deal was agreed during a phone conversation with US President Trump and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain. Under the agreement, Israel and Bahrain will establish full diplomatic relations. Embassies will be opened in both countries and start direct air services.

The US President told reporters at the White House that Netanyahu and the Khalifa agreed that Bahrain would normalize its diplomatic relations with Israel completely. He said, ‘They will establish embassies at each other countries and appoint ambassadors.
Direct flights between the two countries will also begin. Apart from this, they will also initiate cooperation in areas such as health, business, technology, education, security and agriculture. Trump also said, “I hope other Gulf countries will also follow this path.”
Bahrain took a shameful step by normalizing relations with Israel: Iran
Iran has termed the steps taken by Bahrain to normalize relations with Israel as shameful. The Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Saturday that it would threaten regional security.
