There is a lot of discussion about the new penalty rules in the country. At the same time, many states are avoiding implementing these New traffic rules.

The BJP-administered Gujarat has reduced the amount of fine in many cases. At the same time, the Maharashtra minister has written a letter to the Center to reconsider the amount of the fine.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has also refused to implement these new rules in the state. He says that in this, very tough provisions have been kept for breaking the traffic rules.

On this, Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that the states are free to take their decisions.

He said, "Most people in the world die in India due to road accident. Among them 65 per cent are people between 18 and 35 years old. Two and a half million people have broken their hands. 30 per cent license, People do not take license, do not listen, there is no fear and no respect for the law. Till now there was a fine of 100 rupees which people used to fill easily and never again commit such mistake".
