Is Delhi’s Traders getting Infected with Coronavirus due to Notes!

Due to the rapid spread of coronavirus in the wholesale markets of Old Delhi, a decision is being taken to close the markets one by one, since then there has been an increasing fear among the traders that the notes will be increased. There is no transition from traders.  For this reason many market organizations have also warned their traders not to put their fingers on the lips while counting the notes.

Meanwhile, the trade organization Confederation of All India Traders (CAT) has sent a letter to the Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan to clarify the situation on the matter.  CAT has cited several reports as saying that in several reports the notes have been described as carriers of infectious diseases.  In such a situation, traders are worried about whether the corona virus is spreading through currency notes.

The government should issue an authentic explanation.  Along with this, prevention measures have also been asked in case of currency being the carrier of infectious diseases.  CAT national president BC Bhartia and national general secretary Praveen Khandelwal said that the issue of currency notes capable of spreading infectious diseases has been a cause of great concern for some years, as confirmed by various international-national reports.
