An iron trader was shot dead on Thursday night at Jamuna Nagar Colony, just a few blocks away from PAC Vahini on Hapur Road in Meerut. Trader's body was found in the warehouse of junk. License pistol has also been found from the body. The police are considering it as suicide.
Karim Nagar resident Mo. Azam (40) son Haji Mo. Aslam was an iron merchant. Azam had a talk on Thursday evening with Zaid, a resident of Zaidinagar, on mobile. After which Azam told him to come to Jamuna Nagar. At night Azam reached the warehouse of Zakir's junk in Jamuna Nagar Colony of Kharkhoda police station area. During this, Azam was shot and killed. SP Crime Ramarj, CO Kithore Alok Singh and Kharkhoda police reached the spot on the information of murder. While Azam's body was found in a blood-soaked condition, Azam's licensed pistol was also found near the body.
On the other hand, the news of Azam's death caused panic among the family members. The family reached the spot. The police questioned the owner Zakir. At the same time, Azam's family members and others demanded the revelation of the incident. Police sent the body for postmortem. SP Crime says investigations are being conducted.
SP Crime inspected the scene of the incident with a forensic expert. The police is also considering this case as suicide. Police say a bullet was found on the right forearm of businessman Azam. His license pistol was also found nearby. But the big question is why a trader would commit suicide by reaching another trader's warehouse far away from his house.
SP Crime Rajarj says that it will be known only after the post mortem report whether the businessman committed suicide or was murdered. Investigation revealed that Azam was also having a loss in business. Police are investigating at all points.
