Iran Declares all US Security Forces as Terrorists for Soleimani’s Assassination

Iran has declared all US security forces as terrorists following the assassination of Chief Major General Qasim Soleimani. Iran's parliament passed a bill on Tuesday, declaring all US forces as 'terrorists'. An air strike was done by America at Baghdad Airport, in which  Soleimani died. Soleimani's convoy was heading towards Baghdad Airport when only a rocket attack hit. Iran Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis was also killed in the attack. Officials said a total of eight people died in the attack.

Soleimani was the principal strategist to carry out Iranian activities in West Asia. Soleimani was accused of carrying out rocket attacks in Israel as well. The White House stated that General Soleimani was actively planning attacks on American diplomats and military personnel in Iraq.

America's attack in Iraq with Iran was strongly opposed. People were on the streets. Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy commander of the Iran-backed militia Popular Mobilization Force, was also killed in the attack. Where on Monday, the outgoing PM of Iraq, Abdul Mehdi said that the time has come that the foreign forces present in the country should be removed. However, this motion has been passed in the House.

Calling the assassination of Iran's top military commander and the country's second-most powerful person, Qasim Soleimani, PM Abdul Mehdi said that the US military has no right to take any military action in Iraq. They said that the US military in Iraq is kept for the protection of Iraqis and not because Iraqis give them protection. Iraq cannot accept Qasim and Muhedi's assassination by the US in the name of Iraq's help.

A special session of parliament was called after top Iranian commander Soleimani was killed in a US drone strike on Iraqi soil. In the resolution passed, the government has been urged to cancel the agreement made to seek the assistance of coalition forces led by the US.

As soon as the proposal to send back the US Army passed, US President Donald Trump erupted with it. Trump has threatened on Sunday that if Iraq forces the US military to withdraw, we will impose stricter sanctions on it.

There are currently about five thousand American soldiers in Iraq, who primarily serve as advisors and train local security forces. There is a decades-old enmity between the US and Iran. Despite this, Iran-backed militias in Iraq were supporting the US military in the fight against IS. But things have changed in Iraq after Soleimani's death. His opponents are also opposing American action. They fear that their country may become an arena of war due to this incident.
