The auction for the next season of Indian Premier League (IPL) has just ended. For IPL 2020, all the teams have strengthened their team by purchasing players in the auction held in Kolkata on 19 December. Preparations for the 13th season have intensified, but the BCCI is yet to release the schedule of the upcoming IPL season. It is expected that the IPL 2020 may start from April 1. A big news related to this tournament is coming out that the title match of IPL 2020 likely to be played at the biggest stadium in the world. The world's largest stadium is currently under construction at Motera in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The stadium is built on 63 acres and is said to cost Rs 700 crore. This stadium has a seating capacity of one lakh 10 thousand people. At the beginning of the New Year, it will be fully ready.

According to Sources, the BCCI plans to break all records of spectators' attendance in a T20 match by holding the final of the IPL 2020 at Sardar Patel Stadium (Motera). In response to a question, the organizer has said that the final of IPL 2020 will be played in Ahmedabad. However, no official statement has been revealed about this.

The BCCI had earlier said that an exhibition match between Asia XI and World XI could be played here in March next year. Motera is one of the oldest stadiums in India. The Gujarat Cricket Association decided to renovate it five years ago. Now one lakh 10 thousand spectators will be able to watch the match in the newly built stadium. Sardar Patel Cricket Stadium will be bigger than Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.
