South African Batsman David Miller has praised Former Indian Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his calmness on the field. He said that MS Dhoni can win the high-pressure matches easily with his calmness. He said that he wants to follow Dhoni’s calmness in high-pressure run chases.
This time due to Coronavirus, the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be played in the UAE from 19 September to 10 November. Dhoni will lead the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team, while Miller will play for the Rajasthan Royals for the first time. He has played for Kings XI Punjab for 8 years.
Dhoni remains calm in every difficult situation:
Miller said, “I absolutely love the way Dhoni goes about his business. Certainly his calmness – you just think he’s always under control. The way he portrays himself, that’s something he’s extremely good at and I do enjoy that about him. I try and give off the same energy.”
I want to finish the match in Dhoni’s style: Miller
He said, “Dhoni’s got his strengths and weaknesses as a batsman and so do I. I tend to be in awe of some of his chases rather than ‘I want to bat like him’. I suppose I just want to finish games like he does.”
2013 season was great for Miller:
In the IPL, Miller played only 8 matches for the Punjab team in 2017 and 2018. Last season, Miller scored 213 runs in 10 matches at a strike rate of 129.87. He got fame in 2013, when he scored 418 runs in a season. In the next season, he scored 446 runs.
