Brics Summit 2023: The leaders of the BRICS- Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, were called for a group photograph, and the standing positions of the leaders were marked with the respective tiny flags of the member nations.
It was here that PM Modi noticed the tricolor on the ground. He made sure not to step on it and swiftly picked up the flag and kept it in his pocket. The South African President Cyril Ramaphosa too got impressed by the Indian PM’s sheer sense of respect to the national flag, and picked up the South African flag placed on the ground.
