Instagram shares its servers with WhatsApp and Facebook, but there is no problem with these two apps, but the app is not working on Instagram's Android and iOS devices. Many users have complained about this.
Several Instagram users across India and some other parts of the world reported issues with the app on their iOS and Android devices on Thursday. According to Downdetector, Instagram has been down in India since around 11:02 am. Some users complained that they couldn't refresh their feed or access their direct messages. The reason behind the outage is currently unknown.
According to the Down Detector website, problems started coming to Instagram at 11 am in India today. About 45 percent of Instagram users have complained about the app while 33 percent of users are facing problems on the Instagram website. The remaining 22 percent of users claim that they are paying attention to server connection issues. So far more than 1,000 users have reported the issue on the website.
Instagram users have started tweeting about it only to find out if it is only them or everyone they are facing. People are constantly complaining about it on Twitter.
Even before this, Instagram was down recently. Large-scale outages were reported from the United States of America, New York, Los Angeles, and Washington DC. According to Downdetector, the most reported issues in the News Feed were followed by Story and the Instagram website.
