A large number of Indian-American citizens have come forward in support of the revised citizenship law and the proposed National Citizen Register. There are rallies in many cities of America to dispel misinformation and myths about this disputed law. Demonstrations have been going on in India ever since the Citizenship Bill was passed in Parliament. With the signing of the President, the bill has now become law.

The government on Tuesday approved Rs 12,700 crore for the 2021 census and National Population Register (NPR) and made it clear that NPR has no connection with the disputed NRC. The organizers of the rally stated that the purpose of these rallies is to dispel misinformation and myths about the law as well as to oppose the propagation of hatred and lies. He said Indian-Americans held pro-CAA rallies in Seattle in December, Austin on December 22, and the Indian Consulate in Houston on December 20.

Rally organized in many cities of America

Rallies were held on December 22 in Dublin, Ohio and North Carolina. Organizers report that Dallas, Chicago, San Francisco, New York City, Washington DC, Atlanta, San Jose and other venues also have several other performances planned in the coming weeks. Vineet Goyal, an organizer of the Dublin Ohio rally, said, "We held this rally to allay fears about the CAA and NRC among Islamic and leftist organizations." Also rallied to overcome the fear that NRC along with CAA are being brought to evacuate Muslims from India. '

Eminent doctors participated in the rally

Archana Sunil, an organizer of the Seattle rally, said that the opponents of the CAA and NRC have misinformation and do not want to talk or listen to the facts. The rally in Raleigh, North Carolina was attended by more than 70 distinguished doctors and community leaders. He demanded that the protesters who damaged public property and attacked policemen in India be severely punished and the leaders behind these activities should not be spared.
