In the list released on New Year, India's Deepak Poonia has got the number one ranking and Bajrang Punia and Rahul Aware are in the number two ranking. Apart from this, Seema and Manju finished third. Deepak, who won a silver medal in 86 kg at the World Wrestling Championships 2019, has been ranked number one in the world rankings. Deepak, who won a medal in his first World Championship, has made a big jump in the world rankings. Poonia made India proud by winning a gold medal in the Junior World Wrestling Championship in 2019 and a silver medal in the senior.

At the same time, India's star wrestler Bajrang Punia, who won a bronze medal in 65 kg, is ranked second. Bajrang's semi-final match at the World Championship was disputed over which the Indian Wrestling Federation had lodged a protest and the UWW admitted that it had missed the decision. Four women wrestlers are also included in the United World Wrestling ranking list. Seema has been placed third in the 50kg and Vinesh Phogat has been placed second in the 53kg. Vinesh Phogat reached the best ranking for the first time in the world rankings. Manju is ranked third in 59 kg and Pooja Dhanda is fifth in the same category.
