However, the Indian men's team will still go to the Philippines to play this tournament.

At the same time, General Secretary of the Badminton Association of India, Ajay Kumar Singhania has said that we will not take any action against women shuttlers. If the women's team does not want to go, then it is fine because it is a matter of their health. We have spoken to the organizers. The Asian Badminton Association has also monitored the entire matter. They have sent an advisory and said that everything is going well. That is why we are sending the men's team there. At midnight of nine, the men's team will leave for Manila, the capital of the Philippines.

These players refused: Akrshi Kashyap, Gayatri Gopichand, Malvika Bansod, Bhat K, Ashwini, Asmita Chaliha, Shikha Gautam, Manisha, and Taparna have refused to go to the Philippines.
