The Indian national has been sentenced to eight years and eight-month prison for participating in the India –based call center fraud in US Tax official to export money from America.
In Washington, Indian has been sentenced to eight years and eight months prison on Tuesday. Indian citizen involved in a call center scam case. US Department of Justice reported this information. Nishit Kumar Patel (31) accepted his offense on 9th January. The court ordered him to pay $ 200,000 and deposit a 2015 Land Rover seized in October 2018.
With him four others guys were also arrested in the fraud case and also pleaded guilty for their roles in the scheme.
Patel, along with US-based co-conspirators and call centers in India, committed the crime in 2014 and 2016 to become the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) officer to recover money from American residents. IRS is the revenue service of the US federal government.
On March 25, Alejandro Juarez was sentenced to 15 months in prison. Hemalkumar Shah, Sharvil Patel, and Brenda Dozier are currently awaiting sentencing.

J Russell George, Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration, said, "Over the last several years, American taxpayers have been subjected to unprecedented attempts to fraudulently obtain money by individuals impersonating Internal Revenue Service employees."
"Victimizing taxpayers by impersonating IRS employees is a serious crime," he said
Fraud cases are going and spreading so widely in the system.
