Indian Oil retains the title of the Bombay Gold Cup hockey. Indian Oil defeated Punjab and Sindh Bank (PSB) 9-7 in penalty shootout in the exciting final match played on Wednesday.

In the 53rd edition of the tournament, Indian Oil captain VR Raghunath scored the score just before the match ended. Match at match 5-5 at the scheduled time. In the penalty shootout, Indian Oil beat the PSB 4-2 and won the trophies with the match itself.
In Indian shootout, Bharat Chikra, Talwinder Singh and S. Of Uthappa scored the goal. In the fourth attempt, Vikramjit Singh's attempt was made inappropriate. Raghunath scored a goal when he got the last chance of gold. Punjab and Sindh Bank were the only goals for Ranjot Singh and Gaganpreet Singh.
Pankaj Kumar Rajkal (Indian Oil) best goalkeeper, Pratap Lakraa (South-Central Mumbai) Best Defender, Devinder Valmikila (Bharat Petroleum), and best player of Talwinder Singh (Indian Oil) were honored by Mumbai Hockey Association Limited by the Mumbai Hockey Association. Darshan Gaonkar of Bharat Petroleum was given the Best Sportsman of the Mumbai Sports Journalists Award.
