INDIAN HOCKEY TEAM HOPE TO END 43-YEARS WAIT IN 2018

This year India is hosting the FIH Men's Hockey World Cup 2018. Now it 's the time with less than 48 hours to go for the world cup to win the battle and to end their 43- years wait for the converted trophy.   

The last time India lifted the world cup way back in 1975 where they beat Pakistan by 2-1 in Malaysia.

And the new edition of the tournament beginning on Wednesday at Kalinga stadium in Bhubaneswar presents India the best chance to get its record straight.

India hopes to end their 43-year wait with all excitement and expectation are more from the player Manpreet Singh this time. The host begins their campaign against South Africa on an opening day.

After doing away with the foreign coaches, India finally has found out an astute taskmaster in Harendra Singh.

"You have to earn the Indian color. When you earn it, you should realize the responsibility that comes with it, said Harendra.
