Some Indian firms say they plan to double their teams by the end of this financial year despite the coronavirus epidemic. Companies say that their users are increasing rapidly, due to which they must increase their workforce.
Ever since the government has banned 59 Chinese apps, since then only the downloads of the game streaming app Rheo TV have doubled. Saksham Keshari, the founder of Rheo TV, says that the reason for this is the ban of Chinese apps and also the coronavirus because now people are spending most of their time in homes and are using these apps a lot.
Pulkit Aggarwal, the co-founder of video app Trell, says that he is going to increase his team size to 100 employees by the end of the year. He has already reached more than 200 resumes.
Anshuman Das, the managing partner of Longhouse Consulting, says talks are on with Indian app companies. A package of Rs 60-70 lakh is being given for the mid-senior role. The Rooster is looking to hire about 10 engineers whose average salary will be Rs 15-18 lakh.
