US President Joe Biden has nominated Indian-origin Ravi Choudhary to an important Pentagon post. Chaudhary is originally an aerospace and defense expert and has served in high positions in the US Air Force. The White House issued a statement on Friday. In this, it has been confirmed that Ravi has been nominated. Ravi is originally from Virginia in America. Besides his wife, there are two children in the family.
Chaudhary has been a pilot and officer in the US Air Force. Now he has been given the responsibility of Assistant Secretary for Installations, Energy and Environment of the Air Force Department at the Pentagon. Chaudhry has got the green signal from the White House and President Biden, but the US Parliament will put the final seal on his name. Only after this, he will be able to take oath for this post of Pentagon.
Chowdhury will take over after getting approval from the Senate. He will have the responsibility of preparing all the installations and strategies of the US Air Force. In these, the bases of the US Air Force spread around the world will also have to be seen. If needed, new infrastructure will also have to be created. Apart from this, the responsibility of making strategies related to energy and the environment will also be on his shoulders.
Chaudhary also has a lot of experience in administration. He has handled important departments like the US Department of Transportation. Apart from this, he also has experience in departments like Program and Innovation, Commercial Space, and Federal Aviation.
Chaudhary was an active member of the US Air Force from 1993 to 2015. During this time he has led both the operational and functional divisions. He was also the pilot of C-17. He did many operations in the war of Afghanistan and Iraq. Ravi worked for a long time in Iraq. He is also an aviation engineer. His contribution is important in providing the latest technology to the US Air Force. Ravi was a member of the President's Advisory Commission during the Obama era.
