The Mi-17 helicopter of the Indian Air Force has crashed. No casualty has been reported in this accident that took place in Eastern Arunachal Pradesh. Both the pilots of the army and three members of the crew aboard the helicopter have been evacuated safely.

On Thursday, an Army Mi-17 helicopter crashed while it was taking off for a maintenance check in eastern Arunachal. However, the IAF has started the process of ordering a Court of Inquiry to ascertain the cause of the accident.

Similarly, on 3 August 2021, an army helicopter crashed in the Ranjit Sagar Dam lake near Pathankot. Two pilots aboard the helicopter were killed in this accident. A search operation was carried out in Sagar for several days to find the missing pilots.
