The Indian team has received good news ahead of the Test series against England. Wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is all set to join the Team India squad in Durham on July 20. He has been in isolation at a relative's home after contracting COVID-19.

Pant tested positive for COVID-19 a few days ago while on a 20-day break. After this, he was immediately sent to isolation following the coronavirus protocol. Pant has ended the period of isolation. His report is absolutely normal and he is likely to join the team on July 21. Significantly, a few days ago, the Board of Control for Cricket in India had informed that a player and staff of the team tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the latest report, though Pant's quarantine ended on Sunday, he will still not join the team before July 22. This also means Pant can play the 2nd practice match which is scheduled just before the 1st Test on August 4.
