US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is constantly hitting out at China on various issues including coronavirus outbreak and Indo-China border dispute. Earlier, Pompeo also indicated about banning Chinese social media apps in the country. Let us tell you that the Indian government had already banned 59 Chinese apps in the country.
At the same time, on the border dispute between India and China, Pompeo said, I have talked to Foreign Minister S Jaishankar many times in this regard. China took incredibly aggressive action in this matter and the Indian government responded well to it. Pompeo said, 'Beijing, like all undeclared communist rulers, is more afraid of the free-thinking of its people than any enemy. There is a major credibility problem with the Communist Party of China. They failed to tell the world the reality about this virus, due to which thousands of people died.
Regarding border disputes with various countries, Pompeo said, China had recently filed a border dispute with Bhutan. This is a dispute from the mountain ranges of the Himalayas to the Senkaku islands in the watershed of Vietnam and beyond. Beijing has a habit of inciting regional border disputes. The world should not allow China to commit this type of bullying.
The United States is the second major market for TikTok outside China. There are currently 4.54 crore TikTok users right now, while there was 3.96 crore till 2019. On the other hand, TikTok in India was growing rapidly. TikTok had 11.93 crore users in India by 2019, nearly 200 million by June this year. Let us tell you that the Indian government had recently banned 59 Chinese mobile apps, including TikTok, for data security.
