What is the Difference between NRC and CAA ?

CAB and NRC: CAA or Citizenship Amendment Act has been passed by Parliament. It was called the CAB or Citizenship Amendment Bill before it was passed by Parliament. After the presidential seal is passed and passed in Parliament, it has now become a law which is being opposed all over the country.

At the same time, NRC or National Citizen Register has been implemented only in Assam, under which the process of expelling illegal migrants living in India is going on. What is CAA?

Under this law, people belonging to Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, Parsis, Jains and Buddhists from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh will be given citizenship of India. Those who have been harassed in these countries in the name of religion. It does not include people of Muslim religion. Explain that Sri Lankan Hindus are also not included in this law because Hindus have no problem in this country.

Why are there demonstrations about CAA?

There are two types of demonstrations about the Citizenship Amendment Act. The first demonstration is taking place in North East which is about the implementation of this act that people from outside will come and settle there. Due to which their culture is threatened, except North East, there are demonstrations all over India, such as Delhi, Kerala, West Bengal, that Muslims are not involved in it.

What are the things required to join NRC?

The NRC may include the same person who proves that he or his ancestors had settled in India before 24 March 1971. The main objective of NRC is to expel illegal Bangladeshis who are living in India illegally.

Will CAB make a difference to Muslims in India?

The Ministry of Home Affairs has already made it clear that this bill has nothing to do with the Muslims of India. It has a provision to grant citizenship of India to non-Muslim people who are being persecuted in Pakistan, Bangladesh or Afghanistan. The bill does not provide for citizenship of India to Muslims from other countries as they are all Muslim-majority countries and Jains, Parsis, Christians, Sikhs and Hindus are a minority in these countries.
