The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rains in many parts of the country even today.

According to the weather forecast agency Skymet, light to moderate rains lashed several areas of Delhi including Sarita Vihar on Tuesday, affecting traffic. The agency has said that many areas of Mumbai, including Palghar, Ghodbunder, Borivali, Malad, Virar, Kandivali, Kalyan, Bhiwandi, Thane, may receive light to moderate rains even today with lightening. The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain in many districts of Jharkhand today. It has been told in the forecast that heavy rainfall may occur at one or two places in the central, southern and north-eastern districts of the state.

According to the Meteorological Department, due to cyclonic circulation, the low pressure area in the Bay of North Bengal will be more effective in 48 hours. Gangetic is showing cyclonic circulation effects over North Bay of Bengal and Bangladesh over West Bengal. The turfline formed in southern Gujarat is now joined by cyclonic circulation and low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal. Due to this, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in many parts of India. School colleges have been closed today in three tehsils of Shimoga district (Shivamogga) due to heavy rains in Karnataka.

Intermittent rains continue in Uttarakhand. The Meteorological Department has said that in the coming 24 hours, seven districts of Uttarakhand will receive heavy to very heavy rainfall. Not only this, the department has also warned of heavy rain in the next 72 hours in Nashik, Kolhapur and Satara districts of Maharashtra. In many parts of Himachal Pradesh, it has been raining continuously for 24 hours. The state Meteorological Department has issued an Orange alert for the next 24 hours. In the eastern and western Rajasthan, eastern rains have been predicted in the next 24 hours. Bandra-Jaipur Express, Jaipur-Bandra Express and Dadar-Ajmer Express have been canceled due to incessant rains in Maharashtra.
