Three-time champion Roger Federer won his respective matches to reach the final 16 of Miami Open.

World number five Federer beat Radu Albot 4-6, 7-5, 6-3. The 37-year-old Federer will now face Filip Khachanov.  Roger Federer came from a set down to beat Radu Albot and reaches the Miami Open third round but Dan Evans and Alexander Zverev were among the Saturday exits

Albot made a strong start, claiming the first break in the opening game, as Federer – who was defeated in the BNP Paribas Open final by Dominic Thiem last week – struggled to take advantage of his break point opportunities.

But Federer used his experience to evade a second-set tie-breaker and carried the momentum in the decider to clinch the decisive break and wrap up the victory after two hours and 10 minutes.

Speaking of the new venue at Hard Rock Stadium "It was definitely different, especially very different to Key Biscayne last year. I'm happy I got it out of the way. I'm happy I was able to find a way tonight."

World number one player Naomi Osaka had to face the third round of the Miami Open. Two-time consecutive Grand Slam champion Japanese player Osaka was defeated by Taiwan's Sai Su Wei 6-4, 6-7, 3-6.

Serena throws in the third round

Serena Williams dropped out of the tournament due to the knee injury. Twenty-three-year-old Serena did not mention any health issues related to the press conference after the match. With this, their opponent 18th seed Kiang Wang reached the fourth round.

Serena's reversal of the tournament was contrary to expectation because there was no sign of her injury. He defeated Rebecca Peterson 6-3, 1-6, 6-1 in the first round.
