A senior official of Jaipur Airport said that from October 12, the operation of the airport will be given to Adani Enterprises. This is called commercial operation date in technical language. Before this, the observation period of one to one and a half months of the company will also start. For the next two months, the team of Adani Group will observe everything related to operation and management at Jaipur Airport. The Group of Companies has appointed Chief Airport Officer for the operation of Jaipur Airport.
After giving the operation of Jaipur airport in the hands of a private company, there will be some increase in facilities for the passengers, but for that, the passengers may have to loose more pockets. If sources are to be believed, the company may charge more User Development Fee (UDF) from passengers of domestic and international flights coming here. At present, UDF is charged at Jaipur airport at Rs 465 for domestic passengers and Rs 1005 for international passengers. The company can also increase this charge. The company will pay per passenger to the airport authority after assuming the operation. Rs 174 will be paid for domestic passengers and Rs 348 for international passengers. Apart from this, the company can also increase the slot charge, apron charge of flights, which can have a direct impact on the fares of the passengers.
At present, if a passenger wants to sea-off or receive at Jaipur airport, then there is a free time of 8 minutes for that, but the fee may start as soon as the private company enters the airport. . It is being told that a parking fee of at least half an hour can be levied.
Some of the facilities at the airport may be enhanced by the Adani Group. Along with increasing the shopping area for the passengers, restaurant, bar facility can also be started. Apart from this, along with increasing the check-in counters, a luxury waiting area will be created. However, due to the increase of these facilities, people may have to buy expensive tea, coffee, food items there.
