Petrol-Diesel Prices Rise for 8th Consecutive Day

Petrol and diesel prices recorded an increase for the eighth consecutive day on Tuesday. Petrol price has again crossed 74 rupees a liter in Delhi, the capital of the country, and diesel is also available at a higher price than 67 rupees a liter. On the other hand, due to the possibility of weak demand for crude oil in the international market, the price of oil is being softened again. However, in view of the tension in the Gulf region, there is no possibility of softening. Inflation of petrol and diesel in India is not taking the name of stagnation after the vigorous price of crude oil after the attack on Saudi Arabia's oil plants. After this attack, petrol in India has become more expensive by two rupees. At the same time, the price of diesel has increased by Rs 1.70 in Delhi, while in some other cities, the price of diesel has increased by more than this.

Petrol prices increased by 22 paise in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai on Tuesday, while 23 paise per liter in Chennai. Diesel price increased by 14 paise in Delhi, 12 paise in Kolkata, while in Mumbai and Chennai by 15 paise per liter.

In the same month, on September 14, after the drone attack on Saudi Arabian government oil company Saudi Aramco's oil plants, the price of crude oil in the international market rose by 20 percent on Monday, which was the biggest one after 28 years. The day was fast. The attack was reportedly claimed by the Yemeni Houthi rebels.

The November delivery contract of Brent crude, the benchmark crude oil in the international market, was trading at $ 64.43 a barrel on the Intercontinental Exchange, down 0.34 per cent over the previous session.
