The Special Court of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday convicted three accused in the Supreme Court blast case. The three terrorists convicted by the court in the 2016 Mysore court blasts case are linked to Al Qaeda and all of them are residents of Tamil Nadu. In the report of news agency ANI, this information has been given by quoting the investigating agency.
Let us tell you that in the year 2016, there was a huge explosion in the public toilet of the local court complex. The blast took place in the cultural capital of Karnataka, Mysore. However, court proceedings were going on at that time. Two people received minor injuries due to the blast. The window panes were shattered by the blast. However, a vigil was increased in all the congested areas of the city.
The questions were raised about the way security agencies work. Because, when the blast took place in the court premises, the funeral of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's son Rakesh Siddaramaiah was taking place and all the VVIPs of the state were present in Mysore to attend it. However, these included from the police chief to the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court. Also, it is said that due to tight security, they did not get a chance to explode at that place, and in such a situation the explosive was thrown in the court premises.
