The Modi government at the Center has come into action mode regarding the coal crisis arising in the country. After Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) will also review this problem. For this, an important meeting is going to be held on Tuesday. Also, the coal and Energy Secretary will be present in this review meeting of PMO. However, in this meeting, the current situation and measures to deal with it will be discussed.

Let us inform you that after the coal crisis in the country, the central government has swung into action after the deep power shortage. Also, a high-level meeting was called by Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding this matter. However, now it is reported that in the PMO meeting to be held on Tuesday, the secretaries of the Ministries of Energy and Coal will give information about the current situation.

Earlier, the state governments of Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Karnataka have already written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressing their concerns regarding the coal crisis and its impact on power generation.

Warning to power distribution companies doing load shedding

After his concern, Union Energy Minister RK Singh had assured that fear is being created unnecessarily about the coal and power crisis in the country. There was never a shortage of coal in the country and neither is it now. However, he had also warned power distribution companies doing load shedding under the guise of the coal crisis.

Union Power Ministry has directed National Thermal Power (NTPC) and Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) to supply maximum power to power distribution companies under the power purchase agreement.

Amit Shah also had called a high-level meeting on Monday

Apart from this, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had called a high-level meeting on Monday regarding the coal crisis in the country. Union Power Minister RK Singh, Coal Minister Prahlad Joshi, and officials of NTPC and DVC were present in this meeting. In this meeting, Energy Minister RK Singh assured that there is no shortage of coal in the country. Coal is available in sufficient quantity to supply thermal power plants.
