Modi Cabinet Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Said Ganga in Two Years will be Clean

In response to the criticism of the failure to give results of the 'Namami Gange' project, Union Water Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said on Wednesday that capacity building programs are underway and there will be direct changes in the next two years.

In a program on the occasion of World Environment Day here, Shekhawat said that only government efforts will not be enough and they have called for the participation of people in the revival and conservation of Ganga.

He said, "It is being asked why the Ganga has not been cleared in the last four years. The capacity building program is going on full swift, out of the total 298 projects, 98 have been completed."

He said, "In the next two years you will see significant changes." The minister told the people present that strict rules are not enough.

They said, "People need to understand the usefulness of the river. We need a partnership between the government and the people, that should be a mass movement."
