The ongoing protest of the Congress on the issue of Lakhimpur Kheri violence is not taking its name to stop. Now, the Congress party delegation led by Rahul Gandhi met President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday. During this, the delegation demanded the removal of Ajay Mishra Teni, the father of Ashish Mishra, accused of Lakhimpur Kheri violence and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs.

Demanded an inquiry by two sitting judges of the Supreme Court

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi talks to reporters after meeting President Ram Nath Kovind. During this, he said- We have told President that Ajay Mishra, father of Ashish Mishra is the Union Minister of State for Home. While in his post, there cannot be a fair investigation into the Lakhimpur Kheri violence. We have demanded an inquiry into the Lakhimpur violence by two sitting judges of the Supreme Court.

Demands raised by the Congress party delegation will be discussed

During a conversation with reporters, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi told about the meeting with the President. She said that the President has given us assurance. She has said that the demands raised by us (Congress party delegation) will be discussed with the government. Even before this, on Tuesday, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi had reached Lakhimpur Kheri to attend the Ardas organized for the dead farmers.

Priyanka Gandhi also attacked the BJP government

Congress does not want to leave any stone unturned regarding the Lakhimpur Kheri violence. After the Lakhimpur Kheri violence, Priyanka Gandhi went out to meet the victims. He was detained in Sitapur. Later Priyanka Gandhi along with her brother Rahul Gandhi had come to meet the victims. At the same time, Priyanka Gandhi had attended the Congress party's silence program organized in Lucknow. Priyanka Gandhi also attacked the BJP government at the Center and Uttar Pradesh during the Congress's Kisan Nyay Yatra in Varanasi.
