Now after this the Congress has made big promises just before the elections. Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu has announced that the party will give 5 thousand 15 thousand rupees to every girl after passing 5th and 10th. At the same time, 20 thousand rupees will be given to the girl students who have passed 12th. Apart from this, computers and tablets will also be given to them, so that there is no hindrance in further studies. Apart from the education of girls in Punjab, Congress has also made big announcements for women.

Sidhu, while addressing a rally in Bhadaur, Punjab, announced that if the Congress government is formed in Punjab, then once again 2000 rupees will be given to women and 8 cylinders will be given to the duodenum of the family in 1 year from the government. Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Saturday said he was ready to work with Congress' Punjab unit president Navjot Singh Sidhu and make any "sacrifice" for the party. The chief minister's remarks came in the backdrop of the ongoing cold war between him and Sidhu.
Sidhu often criticizes his own party's state government. On Sidhu's adverse remarks against the government, Channi said he is a "loyal soldier" of the party and is discharging his duty with utmost sincerity. He said, 'I am ready to work with Sidhu Sahab and am doing it. I am always ready to make any sacrifice for the party. Whatever the party tells me, I will follow it.
