Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated 150 new Mohalla Clinics in Delhi today. Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain was also present with him in this program. The Mohalla Clinic Program was launched by the Aam Aadmi Party government in 2015. In the last five years, around 300 Mohalla clinics have been opened so far. However, the promise was to open 1000 Mohalla clinics.
Promise to open 1000 Mohalla clinics
Under the Mohalla Clinic, the poor are getting medical facilities close to home. Regarding the promise of 1000 Mohalla Clinics, the Kejriwal government says that we will fulfill our promise by next month.
30 Mohalla Clinics working in double shift
There are 30 Mohalla clinics in Delhi which are working in double shift. Though the opening time of Mohalla Clinic is from 8 AM to 2 PM, but Mohalla Clinic working in double shift is from 7 AM to 1 PM in the first shift and 1 PM to 7 PM in the second shift. Open till noon.
Mohalla clinic remains closed on Sunday
Mohalla clinics are open on all days except Sundays. Patients get basic medical facilities here. Fever, diarrhea and skin diseases are treated. Apart from this, 212 tests are also available. Patients also receive free tests and medicines.
