During all this the Mughals and the British were considered to be the dirtiest elements in Indian history. They not only looted the country but also tortured its people and made them inferior.

After the reign of Mughals and Britishers, when India gained independence, the course of human right violation was continued by the upper segment of the society included some of the political parties too.

Let's just get a glance at some of the horrible days of the history of India till date, which has been unknown to many Indians.

1. Partition Violence

It was May of 1976 and it was a harsh time that included the torture of political dissidents, forced sterilization and the Turkman Gate massacre.

The worst incident during this course of period was when Sanjay Gandhi ordered the demolition of slums near Delhi's Turkman Gate area.

People took to the streets in protest against the demolition, on which the police showed the brutal side by killing 150 people.

After this 70,000 people were removed from their residents without concession and heavily censored media were banned from reporting.
