Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Thursday said that preparations to develop the Kushinagar airport had started during her party's reign and now the current government should complete it soon. Mayawati tweeted, "Kushinagar airport getting international status after a long wait is a good thing especially for Uttar Pradesh."
She said, "Because it is well known that preparations to develop Kushinagar airport under PPP model under Buddhist circuit started only during BSP regime. Now the current government should complete it soon." It is noteworthy that in the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the proposal to declare Uttar Pradesh's Kushinagar airport as an international airport has been approved.
In another tweet, Mayawati said on the rising prices of petroleum products, "After the regular increase in prices of petroleum products in the country's capital, Delhi, now the price of diesel has gone higher than petrol for the first time. It is a matter of great concern. The government should control it effectively, this is the demand of the BSP. "
