Four Major Lines of Delhi Metro will be Surveyed by Drone

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to conduct a drone survey on four major lines. During this, more than 156 kilometers of four-line network will be surveyed. A tender has been issued for this. The work will take a total of three years to complete. According to Metro, there will be an aerial survey of four metro lines. In this survey to be conducted by drone, Metro Elevated (station built above the road on the pillar) will survey its land around the station. Through this, Metro will demarcate the land under its jurisdiction and maintain its property record, so that they have a map of the current status of the land. Also, if there is any illegal capture in future, then it can be dealt with.

Most of the four metro lines that DMRC is conducting drone survey are elevated. This includes Red Line (Rithala to Shaheed Sthal Naya Basadda Ghaziabad), Yellow Line (Samaypur Badli-Huda City Center), Green Line (Indraprastha / Kirti Nagar to Bahadurgarh) and Violet Line (Kashmiri Gate to Faridabad). These four lines also connect the four cities of NCR outside Delhi.

Recently, there was a fire in a furniture market under the metro station between Shaheen Bagh and Okhla near Magenta Line. These markets were completely illegal. With this, services of the Metro were affected and the elevated track of the Metro was also damaged. Metro officials believe that with this survey we will have a complete map of the lands under our jurisdiction. Also, if someone takes possession in future, then we will be able to claim such illegal possession by surveying the map. There will be no problem in expansion of Metro plans in future.

There will be a survey on these lines :

Metro Line                                               Station                                Length (Km)

Rithala to Ghaziabad                              29                                          34.4

It will take 36 months to complete the work of this drone survey.
