Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that two promising players came to meet him on Thursday after winning medals from Thailand. Both of them said that they are graduating from the Open. Failure to do so will not get them a job. A player was won by winning a national medal in table tennis, but he said that he cannot take any competitive examination due to the lack of a degree. Now all the problems of such players will be solved in Sports University.

The Chief Minister informed that schools will also open under this university. Where those children who have to make a career in sports will be admitted. Players will be admitted to Delhi Sports School. It will be the responsibility of the university to make the child an international player. They Will also got a degree. These schools will have an affiliation with CBSE.
State university status
Delhi Sports University (DSU) will be established as a State University. The university will also have graduation, post-graduation courses and Ph.D. courses.
The University will also have a Center of Professional Excellence. There will be six university schools, which will have courses in graduation, post-graduation, and research. The players will be given world-class training. Every university school will also have the facility to do research in sports.
