More than 22 thousand people who have joined and come into contact with Tablighi Jamaat in Nizamuddin, Delhi have been kept in isolation.  Approximately, 1023 people associated with this group have been confirmed to be suffering from Coronavirus  Which is more than 30 percent of the total coronavirus patients in the country.  An intensive campaign is underway to identify the people of Tablighi Jamaat and the suspects they come in contact with Infected people.

Describing the failure of Tablighi Jamaat in the country's capital as a major push in the fight against the coronavirus, Love Agarwal, joint secretary in the health ministry, said that 30 percent of the total corona cases in the country came from one place.  We failed to understand and prevent this danger. Love Aggarwal said that there are a total of 2902 corona patients in the country, of which there are 1023 patients associated with Tablighi Jamaat.  On Friday, Love Aggarwal had told his number 647.  In the last one day, 376 new cases related to Tablighi Jamaat have been reported.  While the total number of new cases is 601.

On the other hand, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Punya Salila Srivastava said that more than 22 thousand people associated with Tablighi Jamaat and their contacts have been identified and all of them have been kept in isolation after the intensive campaign conducted all over the country.  Among the 17 states where patients associated with Tablighi Jamaat have been found, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Maharashtra, Kerala, Himachal,  Arunachal Pradesh and Jharkhand are included.

When asked about the success of breaking the Tablighi Jamaat, Love Aggarwal said that this is our everyday fight.  Even today, the people of Tablighi continue to seek contacts in 17 states.  If a single contact is not found for some reason then we may have to face fresh trouble.
