Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said on Friday that the speech given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in parliament on Thursday was 'shocking'. Chandrababu alleged that instead of judging by fulfilling his commitments, Modi was rubbing salt on the wounds of his state. Naidu said this during a teleconference with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders.

Chandrababu Naidu is also the president of TDP. After the central government's refusal to grant special status to Andhra Pradesh, the TDP, BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) got separated from the government.

Chandrababu expressed strong objection to Modi calling the opposition coalition a "very sophistication". Naidu is keen on making anti-BJP rallies According to the TDP sources, Naidu reiterated the allegation of the opposition that Modi has weakened the country's democratic institutions and said that the Modi government has failed on all fronts.
