He said that I have reached Delhi and am going to meet the Prime Minister. Our demand is that the caste census should now be conducted in the country. According to the information, this meeting is going to be held at 11 am.
This meeting of Nitish Kumar with Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also special because ten other leaders of opposition parties will also be involved. Tejashwi Yadav and Vikas Insaan Party chief Mukesh Sahni will also be present in this.
The demand for conducting a caste census in the country has now started rising even within the BJP. Many leaders are demanding this. BJP leader and minister in Bihar government Janak Ram will also attend the meeting to be held today. According to sources, he will also raise this demand in front of the Prime Minister.
Nitish Kumar has been demanding caste census in the country for the last several years. Recently, the Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai made a statement in the Lok Sabha that the Center will not calculate the population on the basis of caste. Even after this, Nitish Kumar had made a demand. Now a delegation of 10 parties will put this demand in front of the PM. In this, Leader of Opposition from Bihar Tejashwi Yadav, Leader of Congress Legislature Party Ajit Sharma, Mehboob Alam from CPIML, Akhtarul Iman from AIMIM, former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi, Mukesh Sahni, Suryakant Paswan from CPI, CPM Ajay Kumar will also be included.
According to the information, the first caste census was conducted in the country in 1931. After this, caste census was also conducted in 2011, but its figures were not released by the government. Once again, there has been a stir in politics regarding this demand, but BJP does not want to conduct any such calculation.
