Bhupesh cabinet meeting has started at the Chief Minister's residence today. Important decisions can be taken in the meeting on many issues including the drought situation. Before the cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister has also distributed the amount of Godhan Nyay Yojana. All the officers including ministers of all departments are present in the cabinet meeting.

Decisions can be taken on these issues

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has called a cabinet meeting after about one and a half months. It is being told that in this meeting, the low rainfall in the state and its impact will be reviewed this year. It is possible that the state government will give some big relief to the farmers by reviewing the drought-affected areas in the meeting. Along with this, a decision can also be taken regarding the target of buying paddy at MSP.

Two important announcements may get approval

In the meeting to be held on August 15, the announcement of the formation of 4 districts by the CM can also be approved. This time on the occasion of Independence Day, the Chief Minister had announced the creation of new districts of Mohla-Manpur, Sakti, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, and Manendragarh. Along with this, a proposal to increase the fare of passenger buses by 25 percent can also be approved. After which the bus operators will be able to increase the fare.

The reason for the growing concern of the government

The state has received less rain this time. According to the Meteorological Department, from June 1 to Tuesday at 8.30 am, the entire state has received an average of 864.3 mm of rain, which is 14 percent less than normal. Normally these three months should have received 999.5 mm of rain. Nine districts of the state have received below normal rainfall, including Raipur. Only Sukma district has received above-normal rainfall. At the same time, rain is being reported as normal in 17 districts. However, 15 districts included in this list are facing water shortages. There have also been reports of cracks in the fields from many areas.
